Text Box: Updated April 4, 2008 From the Desk of the Volunteer Resource Department   Now that the chapter is settled in its new headquarters at 1150 SE Dock St in the heart of downtown Oak Harbor the chapter is looking for volunteers that would like to get involved in upcoming events in and around the area.   Upcoming events are   1. The Empire Gives Back Saturday April 26, 2008 from 10am to 10pm. Part of this is walking the the Holland Happening Parade from 11am to 2pm. Then from 2pm to 8pm helping with activities at the chapter office. 8pm to 10pm clean up.   2. Readiness Fair on Friday April 25, 2008 The will be held at the Commissary and Navy Exchange Complex from 12pm to 6pm.  The chapter will be participating from 12pm to 3pm.   3. Booth at Old Town Mall in July or Aug. Date to be determined. 4. Virtual Red Cross Tour to be held at the chapter office on Thursday May 15, 2008 from 11:30 to 1pm. This event is open to the public by RSVP by Wednesday, May 14, 2008. If you have never been exposed to Red Cross services this is a great way to learn about Red Cross Services.
