Purpose:  Our Basic HIV/AIDS Program helps people take steps to prevent the spread of HIV. The basic HIV/AIDS

Program provides the opportunity to openly discuss the facts about HIV and AIDS and personalize the facts so they become more meaningful. It's a good way to encourage people to adopt prevention behaviors to protect themselves and others from HIV.

 

Learning Objectives:

Ì      Learn the facts about HIV and AIDS and discuss them.

Ì      May develop a personal "contract with myself" to choose specific ways they will apply the facts about HIV to their own behavior.

Ì      Explore in greater depth a topic of special interest to the group, such as women and HIV or parent-child communication.

Ì      Watch and discuss a video about people living with HIV or AIDS.
